Dalkeith Means Business (DMB) is a growing association of local businesses working together for mutual benefit.
DMB will be a voice for the local business community. As an anchor organisation, DMB will be able to attract funding for a range of business development projects.
These projects fall under four broad headings:
DMB Forum:
– Providing a voice for the local business community.
Digital Wellbeing:
– These projects will enhance and increase the online presence of Dalkeith companies.
Footfall Events and Initiatives:
– Increasing trading and business opportunities is the main objective here.
Geographically or Location based initiatives:
-Physical improvements and better access will be a key feature of these projects.
Initially, and as part of our Dalkeith Loves Local (DLL) programme, two specific projects are being promoted:
Digital Wellbeing: Online Audit
Using an online assessment tool, participating businesses will be offered a (free) assessment of their internet presence. The assessment will focus on their Google Business Profile which all businesses should have claimed by now.
With a Business Profile on Google, you can manage how your local business shows up across Google products, like Maps and Search.
If you run a business that serves customers at a particular location, or you serve customers within a designated service area, your Business Profile can help people find you.
Verified businesses on Google are twice as likely to be considered reputable.
Footfall Events and Initiatives: Loyalty App
Increasing trading and business opportunities is the key objective of these projects. Participating Dalkeith businesses will be offered a subscription to a locally developed loyalty app designed to increase customer engagement and footfall.
